In a town called Lagos de Moreno in the State of Jalisco in Mexico, approximately 120 years ago, Pablo Hernández Muñoz was born and his mother, Lolita, is the happiest woman.

A short distance from his house passed the railroad track. Pablo was amazed at the noise of the steam locomotive, and how it makes the earth rumble as it travels. He was especially fascinated by the melancholy sound of the whistle he carries and sounds frequently. When he reaches 15 years of age, he tells his mother that he wants to go to work at the locomotive. His mother cannot change his mind and enters to work on the railways, to pass to feed the steam boiler of his beloved, the locomotive.

Over time, learn to be an assistant machinist, machinist and continues to rise in level. He becomes the chief machinist, joins Regional Manager, travels all areas and participates in the Mexican Revolution. Mexican President General Manuel Ávila Camacho appoints him General Manager of the Railroads and asks him to buy to Mexico, the most important Railroad that joins the city of Mexico with the Port of Veracruz on behalf of Mexico.

As that Railroad is English when making the purchase, in their offices, Pablo lowers the English flag and goes up the Mexican one. For his many merits of social work, he is awarded the Civil Merit Medal for having saved the city of Oaxaca in the earthquake that he suffered in 1944. He is also considered to select the Man of the Year in Mexico in 1945, including the most outstanding people as, President General Manuel Avila Camacho and the Archbishop of Mexico. The «Man of the Year of 1945» Prize was chosen and awarded to Pablo M. Hernandez. His life is an example of love and service to the Noble People of Mexico. Their remains should be transferred to the building of the Illustrious Men.

Pablo meet Graciela Trevino Camargo, falls in love and marry her. She is a beautiful young girl whose grandfather was General Francisco Camargo, who collaborated with Emperor Ferdinand Maximilian of Habsburg who in 1864 arrived in Mexico in the company of his wife, Princess Carlota of Belgium.

The story of Graciela’s grandfather is unique since, in addition to serving the army and Mexico, he was always very aware of his family and had nineteen children. When he became a widower, he remarried, with whom he had twenty more children. There exists in Mexico a city that bears his last name: «Ciudad Camargo.»

The first child Graciela had, they called him Pablo. Since he had use of reason, his mother taught him that it was convenient to start each day with a prayer to «Who gave us Life», giving thanks and asking for their protection and help, and make this before going to sleep.

Pablo grew with his feeling of gratitude to God and his desire to be his servant. In his room, he knelt to pray, and when he was 10 years old, on that occasion he felt very motivated and concentrated a lot. Suddenly he felt transported to another dimension, where he was happy. Some people call this state «ecstasy.» He thought and wished he would not return, and in that moment that supernatural state ended, and he found himself kneeling in his bedroom where he was praying, but with the total conviction that to return to that state of infinite happiness, he had to give everything, even his life, to serve «Who gave him his life.» To achieve that, he thought about becoming a missionary to help the neediest in Africa.

He continued with his school and upon finishing high school, was about to fail due to his poor grades. He always suffered a great fatigue that was later diagnosed as chronic fatigue syndrome. When he did high school, he decided to devote himself to studying intensively, and on the weekends, he went to a nearby church to give catechism classes to the children.

His great effort led him to finish high school with Honorable Mention, for which he automatically entered the Engineering Faculty of the UNAM in 1955. He devoted all his efforts to finish that career, having achieved the Civil Engineering Degree on August 5, 1960

He immediately worked as a Resident Engineer in the Grupo Modelo works, and separated to start his engineering firm called EDINSA.

He grew very fast and partnered with the American firm Rust Engineering Co., successfully carrying out several works. The largest engineering firm in Australia, Crooks, Michell, Peackock Stewart Pyu. Ltd sent to the main Mexican firms its desire to associate with a company and selected EDINSA.

The World Bank sent a contest to build in the Port of Veracruz Mexico the Grain Handling Plant with the capacity to load and unload vessels of 50,000 tons at a speed of 400 tons per hour, and the contest was won by EDINSA.

The construction lasted three years and the responsible Engineer was Pablo Hernandez Trevino (Paul Hertre). It was inaugurated by the President of Mexico, Luis Echeverría Álvarez, together with the Engineer responsible for that work, Paul Hertre.

In 1975, 42 years ago, he began his social work by assisting as a National Advisor to the Chamber of Construction in Mexico, attending the Pan-American Congress of the Construction Industry in Quito, Ecuador, with his project to create Training Institutes in each nation, for the construction workers. His project was accepted unanimously. Paul Hertre organized and started the corresponding to Mexico, the Training Institute of the Construction Industry, ICIC.
