ANGEL´S BIOGRAPHY IN ENGLISH

ANGEL was born in Medellín-Colombia on April 26, 1976. At the age of 8 he began learning music with his father. He then took classes with independent teachers. Already at his school he learned music theory with one of the best music teachers in the city of Medellín, Professor Fidel Gaviria. During his adolescence he won several trophies: silver in science fair, silver in music, and gold in sports (basketball).
He recently received a scholarship from the best music university in the United States (Berklee College of Music), where he completed and passed studies in music production. There, he took first place competing with more than two thousand students worldwide. In the 80s and 90s, he belonged to a Latin American music group called “Numairama” which in the Quechua language means owner of the word. In this he performed on different stages, parks, schools, towns, contests and was also the opening act for a “rock and roll” group, which was famous at that time and which performed at the theater of the University of Medellín.
After three years of living abroad (USA) in 1997 he decided to return to his country and hometown (Medellín – Colombia) where he began professional music studies at Palace of Fine Arts in Medellín city. During this time he studied music in general and classical guitar with one of the best classical guitar teachers from Medellín city, the Professor and Concert pianist Luis H Benjumea. He also participated in the choir of this institution, where he sang as a tenor and performed at some events. In this institution he spent a few semesters and after a few years, he made his first compositions and prepared his first concert in an important bar in his city where he began to debut with his stage name or pseudonym “ANGEL”. In this bar he performed as a soloist, guitar and voice, and did a sample of ten of his best compositions, where almost the entire ticket office was sold and the concert was a success.

In 2019 he released his first musical albums. One of them is called “SACRED MUSIC”, a work of sacred music; the other is named “Acturus”, a multi-dimensional work of music, which is an introduction to his mythological book called “ORUS”; the other is called “Machu Picchu”, a work of ancestral music; and the last one is called “Healing Music”, an album of therapeutic, healing or curative music. He distributed all these musical artistic works through the Mexican music distributor Indiefy, which put their music in the best digital streaming stores worldwide such as Amazon, Apple, Tiktok, Spotify, Deezer, among others. He was also awarded with a “play list” on Spotify which is named after him.

His music covers different periods from art history such as: mythical, religious, instrumental music, therapeutic music, abstract, surreal, modern, ancestral, commercial, etc., but he focuses more on romanticism since his music is Also very emotional. His music speaks of his own experiences where spite, romance, joy, imagination, free expression, among other feelings, thoughts and emotions, are expressed. His lyrics have been done in both Spanish and English. His slogan or motto is “Peace and Love for the world.” On the other hand, he says that his main mentors are and have been the singer-songwriter Silvio Rodríguez and the pianist and composer Ludwig van Beethoven.

His latest album, which is called "EMOTIONS", was recently released and will soon be available in virtual streaming stores and in the most well-known chain stores on the planet.

ANGEL is an artist in the sense of the word. Several years ago he released his first book called “A BOY WHO ALWAYS WANTED TO BE A STAR”. This was written in a literary way, that is, with other characters. In it he tells the story of his life; it was written in English and is for sale in one of the most important stores of our times: “AMAZON” as in his own store which bears the name LEVIN.

On the other hand, ANGEL is also dedicated to making artistic paitings with artificial intelligence and pitures taken by him. One of his most famous paintings is called “TOXIC” which was inspired by one of his most recent songs from his new álbum wich has the same name “TOXIC”.

BIOGRAFÍA DE ANGEL

ANGEL nación en Medellín- Colombia el 26 de abril de 1976. A la edad de 8 años comenzó a aprender música con su padre. Luego tomo clases con maestros independientes. Ya en su colegio aprendió teoría musical con uno de los mejores maestros de música de la ciudad de Medellín, el profesor Fidel Gaviria. Durante su adolescencia gano varios trofeos: plata en feria de ciencia, plata en música, y oro en deportes (baloncesto).
Hace poco fue becado en la mejor universidad de música de los Estados Unidos (Berklee College of Music), donde curso y aprobó estudios en producción musical. Allí, ocupo el primer puesto compitiendo con más de dos mil estudiantes a nivel mundial. En los 80s y en los 90s, perteneció a un grupo de música latina americana llamado “Numairama” que en idioma quechua significa dueño de la palabra. En este se presentó en diferentes escenarios, parques, colegios, pueblos, concursos y además fue telonero de un grupo de “rock and roll”, que era famoso en aquella época y el cual se presentó en el teatro de la Universidad de Medellín.
Después de tres años de vivir en el exterior (USA) en 1997 decide volver a su país y ciudad natal (Medellín – Colombia) donde empezó estudios profesionales de música en el Palacio de Bellas Artes de la ciudad de Medellín. Durante este tiempo hizo estudios de música en general y guitarra clásica con uno de los mejores maestros de guitarra clásica de la ciudad de Medellín, el profesor y concertista Luis H Benjumea. También participo en la coral de esta institución, en donde hizo de tenor y se presentó en algunos eventos. En esta institución estuvo algunos semestres y después de unos años, hizo sus primeras composiciones y preparo su primer concierto en un bar importante de su ciudad donde comenzó a debutar con su nombre artístico o seudónimo “ANGEL”. En este bar se presentó como solista, guitarra y voz, e hizo una muestra de diez de sus mejores composiciones, donde se vendió casi toda la boletería y el concierto fue todo un éxito.

En 2019 lanzo sus primeros álbumes musicales. Uno de ellos se llama “SACRED MUSIC”, trabajo de música sagrada; el otro lleva el nombre de “Acturus”, obra de música multi dimensional, la cual es una introducción a su libro mitológico llamado “ORUS”; el otro se llama “Machu Picchu”, obra de música ancestral; y el último, es llamando “Healing Music”, álbum de música terapéutica, sanadora o curativa. Todas estas obras artísticas musicales las distribuyo a través de la distribuidora musical mexicana Indiefy la cual puso su música en las mejores tiendas digitales de streaming a nivel mundial como lo son, Amazon, Apple, Tiktok, Spotify, y deezer, entre otras. También fue galardonado con una “play llist” en Spotify la cual lleva su nombre.

Su música cubre diferentes periodos de la historia del arte como lo es: la música mítica, religiosa, instrumental, música terapéutica, abstracta, surrealista, moderna, ancestral, comercial, etc., pero se centra más en el romanticismo ya que su música es también muy emocional. Esta habla de sus propias vivencias en donde se expresa el despecho, el romance, la alegría, la imaginación, la libre expresión, entre otros sentimientos, pensamientos y emociones. Sus letras han sido hechas tanto en el idioma español como en inglés. Su consigna o lema es “Paz y Amor para el mundo”. Por otro lado, dice que sus principales mentores son y han sido el canto autor Silvio Rodríguez y el pianista y compositor Ludwig van Beethoven.

Su último álbum, el cual lleva el nombre de "EMOTIONS", fue publicado recientemente y pronto estará disponible en las tiendas virtuales de streaming y en los almacenes de cadena más conocidos del planeta.

ANGEL es todo un artista en el sentido de la palabra. Hace varios años lanzo su primer libro llamado “A BOY WHO ALWAYS WANTED TO BE A STAR”. Este fue escrito de manera literaria, es decir, con otros personajes. En él relata la historia de su vida, fue escrito en lengua inglesa y está a la venta en una de las tiendas más importante de nuestros tiempos: “AMAZON” al igual que en su propia tienta la cual el nombre de LEVIN.

Por otro lado, ANGEL también se dedica a hacer cuatros artísticos con inteligencia artificial y con fotos tomadas por él. Uno de sus más famosos cuadros es TOXIC el cual fue inspirado en una de sus más recientes canciones de su nuevo álbum.
