The human mind has been a concept studied from behaviorism, psychoanalysis, psychiatry and psychology.

The Mexican cognitive epistemologist, Roberto Mandeur Cortés, pioneer in semantic engineering, has formed a novel theorization on the study of the human mind —based on the constructivism of Jean Piaget and Leiv Vigotsky; the pedagogy and didactics of Juan Amós Comenio, Bernardo Basedow, Juan Enrique Pestalozzi, Enrique Conrado Rébsamen, Carlos A. Carrillo, the psychoanalysts Sigmund Freud, Carl Jung, the mathematical physicist Isaac Newton, the mathematicians John Forbes Nash, Kurt Gödel; the logotherapist Viktor Frankl, the cultural historian Roger Chartier, the sociologist Michael Foucault, the linguist Noam Chomsky, the biologist James Lovelock, the behaviourists Ivan Pavlov, John B. Watson, Burrhus Frederic Skinner, the semioticians Roland Barthes, Ludwig Wittgenstein and Ferdinand de Saussure, the graphic artists Manuel Manilla, José Guadalupe Posada, Daniel Chodowiecki and the entire teaching staff of DIE CINVESTAV.

Within this collective contribution to the study of the mind, it is worth noting a vital enclave of semantic engineering, constructivism and didactics with psychiatry, systemic psychology, linguistics, behavioral psychology, neurology, logotherapy, shamanism and esotericism; all of these articulated to the leading to the discovery of intrasubjectivity, interobjectivity, from semantic engineering and to the expansion of the Piagetian and constructivist theory on the human symbolic mind that establishes that human beings – unlike all animals except Bonobos and some other primates and mammals – are beings that can travel in time in their mind, go from the past, to the future and to the present, which means that they can make plans. Another characteristic of the human symbolic mind is to use one thing to represent another, as when the human uses a crucifix to represent Jesus or God.

Likewise, the human symbolic mind allows human beings to create poetry, art, religion. And from semantic studies it was established that the human symbolic mind is the human capacity to deny nature, its human nature; as happens when human beings change their gender and sexuality arguing that they are a woman’s brain trapped in a man’s body or a man’s brain trapped in a woman’s body; As is the case with transgender people, transsexuals and homosexuals, the symbolic human mind is the human capacity to tame or at least try to tame nature at any level.

Among the most notable achievements of this collective study is the discovery of the human mind that is not the brain. For example, a transgender person is a biological man who says he feels like a woman, that is, he has a feeling of being a woman trapped in a man’s body. For psychiatry, the mind does not exist, the brain exists and the brain is not the mind, so psychiatry has nothing to say about gender change. For psychology in any of its expressions, the mind does exist, but they do not know where it is physically in the brain, they have tried to establish the correlation of human behaviors with the activation and deactivation of brain areas and have not found any pattern. If a human being loses a loved one, a leg, money or his dignity, the same areas of the brain that register the pain of loss are activated.

And if, for example, a person loses his entire family, he tends, as every human being does, to drug himself with alcohol or any depressant to bear the pain. Basically, the brain has five neurotransmitters: dopamine, adrenaline, serotonin, endorphin, and oxytocin. When a person takes cocaine, they trick their brain, which essentially releases dopamine, giving them strength, recovery, and freshness, but at a very high cost, which will be reflected in serious physical deterioration after consumption, leading to premature death.

Adrenaline is the neurotransmitter of human violence. It is released when the brain is ready to respond violently to some stimulus. Serotonin is released when the human body experiences an experience related to pleasure, whether sexual or not.

Endorphins are stimulants that give a feeling of peace and tranquility. And oxytocin, or the neurotransmitter of love, is only released in the body when human love is experienced, whether it is from a family, friend, colleague, lover, boyfriend, partner, brother, sister, or even when a person devoted to God is praying and meditating, their brain releases oxytocin.

Thanks to Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung, the identification of the mind was possible. The Greeks called the soul the mind and vice versa. Freud was a neurologist who noticed that the neurology of the brain did not explain human behavior, as Jung also noticed. In this sense, semantic engineering also noticed that no matter how intoxicated a person was, whether by drugs, alcohol or medication, his or her mind continued and continues to hurt. There are no pills or neurotransmitters that cure problems and losses in life such as unemployment, racism, segregation, poverty, ignominy that generate depression, sadness and anxiety. The difference between the mind and the brain should and can be understood like this. At school they tell us that there is something called instinct, and they tell us that it is a natural impulse that warns us of danger. Well, that is a lie. If a person does not know that something is dangerous, his mind will not order his brain to release adrenaline to run, confront, freeze or approach with caution. It is the human mind that determines our reactions to reality. And what is the human mind in this example? Well, simple, semantics, which is everything that has a meaning, a sense and a value. The meaning of the experience with the tiger is: unknown, friendly animal, the size of a lion, with orange, black and white fur that lives in cities and is very friendly. Well, this is the semantic basis of the human mind, meaning, value and significance that leads us to language.

Many people think that language refers to writing and speaking only and that it is an invention of the human being. This is total reductionism and stupidity. Human beings had, have had, have and will always have language, and its format variations are Russian, Purépecha, Mayan, which are languages, and absolutely all human languages function semantically the same, all of them. It is documented that human beings adopted by lynxes, cats, dogs, bears speak the language of the kind of animals that adopted them and that they can learn human language. Animals do not learn by instinct, they use intelligence, language and learning like us.

Humans have the original cognitive and epistemic framework to learn and understand the world around them. Epistemology is the study of knowledge, it is the study of how humans learn and know. For a long time it was thought that knowledge in people was innate, that is, that people were born knowing and it is known as innateness; but this theory falls apart because it does not explain why not all human beings know the same thing and why we speak different languages; the same happens with genetics where stupid people think that there is a gene for intelligence or that knowledge is genetic but it falls apart for the same reasons as innateness; we also have empiricism which says that human beings learn from experience and with our senses; This theory falls apart because if the human being learns through experience in contact with what he learns, handling it with his senses, then who put the knowledge outside the first human beings so that they could learn it, because without knowledge there is no experience, and without someone experienced who puts it even less, in addition this theory does not explain how someone can learn to be a mathematician or a doctor; if these disciplines do not only require experience and sensorial practice, but also theory or episteme that is not accessible to the senses alone, because the human being sees with the eyes but observes with the mind, and if he observes with the mind and this generates understanding it means that the mind is human semantics. Innateness says that knowledge is in the human being, empiricism says that it is outside, constructivism says that it is in the human being and semantism says that it is in, outside, around, above, below, everywhere in the human being. The difference between the in of innateness and the in of constructivism is that innateness considers the human being as an entity foreign to its context that floats in space and that is disconnected from its natural and cultural context. It is the typical case of the Greek eureka, where they think that something from within the human individual springs forth by magic and generates the creative ideas of the human being. In social and hard science, no one has discovered absolutely anything without basing themselves on the work of many other people. The problem with hard science is that they study the brain as if nothing existed around it and it was not influenced by what it sees from the outside in. They believe that language springs forth from within the brain, that everything springs forth from the inside out in the most stupid and short-sighted subjectivism. Human beings do not float in the air, we do not make language in monologue, we influence each other all the time to create complex thought, so what neurology, neuroscience and other sterile biology should be studying is at least two pairs of brains in semantic and physical correlation. Because the brain is only one part of human cognition and epistemics, there is also the context, which is semantically full of meanings, senses and values that are being sent to us and are being sent to us all the time; with hidden, implicit, explicit, connoted, denoted, clear, murky messages; Freud was so close and yet so far from understanding this, he perfectly identified that there was something that was not the brain, that made human beings do things against their will and that generated conflicts for them; something that made people complain, for example, about despotic, cruel and mocking people but being that way, that is, being what they criticized and hated most in life.

Freud identified the human mind or psyche but did not know where it was or how to access it, he tried to locate it above the brain in schemes, and formulated the hypothesis that there was a part of the human mind called the unconscious where somehow, that education, training and orders that made people act contrary to their conscious will, were deposited, formed and guided the behavior of that person against their conscious will. Thanks to Freud’s nephew, the publicist Edward Barnays, it was discovered that if information related to death, violence, sex, hedonism, pleasure, Satanism was hidden in advertising and propaganda, it could induce people to behave in ways that were not in their control, it could encourage consumerism, it could guide their opinion and program behaviors in favor of the entity that hid them and to the detriment of those who consumed them. This is called subliminal advertising or subliminality, and it is the current basis of 100% of the advertising and propaganda used in the West that deceives and manipulates us subliminally, whether it be to buy all kinds of things we don’t need, to be violent, sexualized, stuck, anxious, compulsive consumers, to vote for a particular candidate, to instill fear in us so that governments do not fear that people will unite to overthrow corrupt governments. Barnays worked for the US government and did all kinds of subliminal advertising for the army, the CIA, the FBI, the Secret Service and put Freud in nefarious hands, obviously betraying him, since Freud never developed the study of the mind to harm people but for heal them.

Freud was not related to what Barnays did with his work in psychoanalysis. Thanks to this, semantic engineering was able to understand that what unconsciously modified the minds of individuals was and is culture, and that the part of the mind that Freud called the unconscious is the conscious part of people, only divided between two. And the natural limit of the non-Westernized human being is unitary, if you ask a Purépecha, a Gaelic, a Seminole, a Red Indian if they are part of the earth, the Earth, Nature and the Universe they will tell you yes. On the other hand, if you ask a Westernized person they will tell you that they are Mexican, that they are from Guadalajara, that they are mestizo, that they are an engineer, that they are homo sapiens; and if you ask them if they are animals they will tell you no very angrily. In general terms, Westernized human beings consider themselves divine beings even though they do not have religion; if they are atheist scientists they consider themselves homo sapiens, which is a mega-intelligent animal without comparison with other insignificant little animals.

And the westernized human being, being part of a culture that domesticates nature, is by definition binary. Thus, the subliminal, thanks to binary thinking, can occupy a part of the conscious, while the other part is used to interpret new semantic things. The subliminal works like this. Thanks to this contrast between these theories, it was established that they were all somewhat and very right; we are born with the cognitive scaffolding thanks to Nature, we learn through experience of Nature, we learn to talk with sounds of Nature, we have the cognitive and epistemic infrastructure thanks to Nature; thus, human beings learn with semantics, language, the mind; and we apprehend with the eyes, the nose, the mouth, the ears, taste, the skin, the manual grip, the standing position. Thus, if a human being wants to learn something, he has to interpret, represent, accommodate, appropriate, represent and interpret in order to know.

Knowledge is only the learning conserved and appropriated in human memory. The human being can interpret or observe objects and concepts; for example, seeing an apple is an objective level and seeing a dialectical discussion is a conceptual level. The human mind is made up of structures or neural nodes that form network tissues made of fat, proteins and cells; which are linked with electrical energy. In short, this organic electrical circuit is where human memory is housed, that is why no one finds it in the brain tissues, much less in a dead brain.

The criterion that creates a filter for each thing that makes up the personal semantics of each individual is called intelligence. To develop human intelligence, it is not necessary to saturate it with information and data; nor is it necessary to make a person repeat something a thousand times to learn it. All of the above is what scientifically underlies the human symbolic mind, that is to say, none of the above is philosophy, theology, religion, humanities; it is hard science that can be demonstrated and tested in any laboratory in the world.
